Sasha's Story
Dollars 2 Dogs was born from an experience adopting a reactive rescue named Sasha a dog who was labeled difficult and "too much." With time, patience, and love, Sasha transformed. She finally got her second chance, and that journey opened the eyes of her owner to how many dogs never get that opportunity.

Dollars 2 Dogs was created to make a way that families could support rescue financially, spread awareness, and bring people together around a cause that matters and build a solution that lasts. Every D2D event is family-friendly, charity-driven, and community-powered.

Meet the Founder
My name is Jaid Willis and I am the founder of Dollars 2 Dogs. I have always been the biggest dog lover for as long as I can remember and I love hosting events and creating community. When I found Sasha, I knew she needed help and it wasn't going to be an easy task. I had never fostered or had my own dog before, but I knew I was the only one who could give her a second chance.
I combined my love for dogs, my strength for putting together events, and my passion for art and created a way to give dogs the second chance they deserve. My vision for Dollars 2 Dogs is to partner with rescues, host meaningful events, collaborate with incredible people, and paint murals all over shelters in Arizona.
I will do anything to give back to the dogs and I can do so in a way that combines all of my passions. Every event, every mural, every collab is for them.

Second Chances
The "2" in Dollars 2 Dogs represents second chances for the dogs who were overlooked, misunderstood, reactive, abandoned, or simply never given a fair shot. It's a reminder of Sasha's story and every dog like her who deserves another chance at life, safety, and love.
Community Giving
Beyond second chances, the "2" symbolizes how our community gives back. At Dollars 2 Dogs events, many of our partners contribute through our $2 Giveback Model local businesses donate $2 for every purchase during partnered events, making it easy for anyone to contribute in a real, tangible way.

Dogs waiting for adoption spend their days in kennels surrounded by blank, grey walls. Research shows that enriched, colorful environments reduce anxiety in shelter animals and make the experience more welcoming for potential adopters.

JAM Projects brings the murals to life at shelters across the Valley, transforming blank walls into vibrant, welcoming spaces.
Shelter environments are stressful by nature. Loud, clinical, and visually flat, they heighten anxiety in dogs who are already scared and overwhelmed.
A mural doesn't just make a wall look better it shifts the energy of a space. It signals to every dog, every volunteer, and every potential adopter that this place cares.
Colorful, enriched environments reduce stress in shelter animals and create a more inviting experience for visitors which means more foot traffic, more connections, and more dogs finding homes.

What started as an idea turned into something real — fast. Recycled skateboards, hand-painted with original art, each one a second chance. Just like the dogs we save.
In just two weeks, Dollars 2 Dogs went from concept to canvas — hand-painting recycled skateboards and bringing them into the community. Each board is one of a kind, painted with original art, and sold or raffled to raise money for rescue dogs.
At the 14th Annual Charity Dog Wash at Sol Veterinary, a D2D board hit $160 at silent auction — in week one. Boards have been raffled at community events, donated to Sidewalk Surfer, and more are already in the works for Heidi's Village.
These aren't just skateboards. They're rescued boards given a second life — just like every dog we fight for.
